Applied German linguistics (neurolinguistics
The main research interest of Prof. Lee lies in the field of the applied German linguistics. He has especially conducted neurolinguistic studies that explore the cognitive language processing in the brain, using the brain imaging technologies like EEG, MEG, fMRI etc. His research areas include also the second language acquisition and are extended into studies in other languages like English and Korean. Furthermore, he tries to conduct research with the patients like children with SLI (specific language impairment) and Alzheimer’s patients, who have deficits in the language acquisition and cognition.
