Establishment of the College of Humanities under the “Ten-Year SNU Integration Plan (1968-1977, containing “Campus Construction Plan” and “Education, Research and Institutional Organization Plan”), which separated the College of Literature and Sciences into the Colleges of Humanities, Social Sciences and Natural Sciences (As for the Department of Literature, the Departments of Korean Language and Literature, Chinese Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, French Language and Literature, German Language and Literature, Linguistics, Korean History, Asian History and Philosophy were organized into the College of Humanities and the Departments of Political Science, International Relations, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work and Geography formed the College of Social Sciences. The Department of Archaeology and Anthropology were divided and the Department of Archaeology became a part of the College of Humanities and the Department of Anthropology, a part of the College of Social Sciences. All sub-departments in the Department of Sciences constituted the College of Natural Sciences.
